Creating a Great Content Experience with Fragmented News

Presented by Kara Chiles, SVP Consumer Product, Gannett, and Damon Kiesow, Knight Chair in Digital Editing and Producing, Missouri School of Journalism

About this Webinar

How news media companies can create a great content experience where news is naturally fragmented across platforms, brands, and perspectives is the focus of this INMA Product Initiative Meet-Up.
INMA Product Initiative Lead Jodie Hopperton will host a discussion with Damon Kiesow, Knight chair in digital editing and producing at the Missouri School of Journalism, and Kara Chiles, senior vice president of consumer product for Gannett about how news has been fragmented, and how we should help users navigate that.
Damon makes the point that not all news and information is equal, but it all looks the same when shredded and thrown at readers. And when readers are left to have to manage that, the cognitive load required leads many people to tune out.
Join this one-hour meet-up to explore what our role is in trying to bring these fragments together through UX and other product tools.

About INMA’s Product Initiative

The INMA Product Initiative looks at what media companies must do now to embrace the evolving discipline of product to delight customers and grow business. Currently, the Product Initiative looks at what it means to build customer-informed products, how to manage conflicting product objectives, and how we go beyond traditional products to become part of a customer lifestyle.
