The Roundtable will be held at the Sonnenalp Hotel, located at 20 Vail Road in Vail, Colorado. INMA strongly recommends booking your sleeping room at The Sonnenalp.

By air:

Most participants will fly to Eagle County Regional Airport or Denver International Airport. Please note that United has two Denver-Eagle County flights each day.

Parking at The Sonnenalp

Valet at The Sonnenalp is complimentary for guests, yet the garage is small and thus could be full. Alternatively, there is a parking garage across from La Tour restaurant, a very short distance from The Sonnenalp at 122 East Meadow Drive.

What is included?

The Roundtable at Vail is an invitation-only free event for representatives of INMA’s community of news media companies. The event includes Roundtable sessions, the Wednesday welcome reception, lunches and breaks, Thursday's wine tasting, and the Friday evening dinner. The pre-Roundtable hike and golf outing are free.

Hotel rooms, breakfasts, and the golf club rentals should be paid separately.

What can my spouse/partner attend?

Spouses and partners are welcome to attend the Wednesday evening welcome reception, Thursday's wine tasting, and Friday evening small-group dinners, as well as the Wednesday morning optional hike and golf outing. Please let INMA know in advance your plans.

About the golf outing

If you plan to arrive by Tuesday evening and would like to experience the ego boost of playing golf at 7,000+ feet, plan on joining peers on one of Colorado's golfing gems, the EagleVail Golf Club. We will depart the Sonnenalp Hotel at 7:30 a.m. Tee times will start at 8:30 a.m.

About the hike

For those who prefer to experience what hiking at altitude will do to your lungs, plan to join your peers on a casual hike Wednesday morning. We will conduct two hikes: one departing at 8:00 a.m. and one at 10:00 a.m., both from the Sonnenalp lobby. The group will take Strawberry Lane and Berrypicker Trail to the top of the mountain. From there, we will load onto a gondola for a scenic ride down the mountain and land in Lionshead Village. Please allot three hours for this experience. This is a free activity.

What will the weather be like?

Expect summer temperatures of between 50°F at night and 80°F during the day (10°C to 27°C). While Vail summers are not humid, a sunny day can make things warm — so dress for these extremes. Bring sunscreen and a hat.

Cancellations and substitutions

Because this is an invitation-only event, there are no invitation transfers. If there is a cancellation, then waiting list participants from other companies will be added to the attendee list.
