About

INMA Media Subscriptions Summit is the news media industry's largest annual conference focused on subscription growth. In March 2023 in Stockholm, Sweden, we will meet for the sixth time.

The summit has three parts: a two-day leaders’ conference, one full day of practical workshops, and an optional executive study tour.

We expect 300+ media professionals. Most of our participants are marketing, product, data and editorial executives, managers and senior specialists working in the reader revenue space.

We invite 40+ speakers on our stages – from the media industry pioneers to leaders and innovators, from academic researchers to consumer marketing experts and thought leaders.

About Stockholm

With headquarters of Bonnier, Schibsted, Skype, and Spotify, Stockholm is one of the world’s media and tech capitals.

Sweden is the land of innovators — even if you don’t read Aftonbladet or Dagens Nyheter, listen to Spotify or call via Skype, you may have bought clothes and paid later with Klarna, your kids played Minecraft, you kept your books on the Billy shelf from IKEA and you drove Volvo.

But Sweden is also famous for ABBA, meatballs and high-percentage alcohol. And Stockholm is one of Europe’s loveliest cities, with its beautiful islands, harbour front and historic old town. There are more than 3,000 restaurants and bars in the city, and we hope you’ll enjoy your time here.

About the Readers First Initiative

INMA’s Readers First Initiative aims at surfacing global best practices in the art and science behind digital subscriptions for news media companies and creating a road map toward the next generation of consumer monetisation.

We help the news industry exchange ideas, best practices and benchmark data. We publish newsletters, strategic reports, moderate a Slack channel, video meet-ups, and host master classes, town halls, summits and individual Ask-Me-Anything sessions.

The initiative is led by INMA’s Researcher-In-Residence Greg Piechota. He is a former news executive and research fellow at Harvard and Oxford universities, and an expert in business model innovation, digital transformation, and e-commerce.
