On Thursday, June 9, INMA unveiled the recipients of the 2022 Global Media Awards. The video recording on this page was produced with the support of the Google News Initiative.
Presented since 1937, the INMA Global Media Awards rewards innovation and best practices on news brands, optimising the use of media platforms, subscriptions, advertising, data and insights, product, and newsroom.
The competition evaluates news media companies across three segments: national brands, regional brands, and media groups.
The 2022 competition garnered a record 854 entries from 252 news brands in 46 countries. Participants included newspaper media, magazine media, digital media, television media, and radio media.
The next Global Media Awards competition deadline is January 27, 2023.
