The International News Media Association (INMA) Inc. is a 501(c)6 non-profit membership-based organisation incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia and doing business in the State of Texas in the United States of America.

To inspire news media companies to embrace business practices that sustain impactful journalism.
INMA leverages its global membership network to:

7. How We Lead Through Initiatives
INMA manages multiple news industry initiatives designed to lead on key issues and guide members where need be including the Advertising Initiative, Digital Platform Initiative, Newsroom Initiative, Product Initiative, Readers First Initiative, and Smart Data Initiative.
8. Members
INMA members are executives at the world's leading news media companies. INMA today has more than 19,000 members at 800+ companies in 80+ countries. Members are typically c-level executives involved in leadership and executive management, advertising, audience, digital, marketing, product development, and research.
9. Governance
- Annual Business Meeting
INMA members elect a governing Board of Directors at an annual business meeting typically held in conjunction with the association’s World Congress. - Board of Directors
The Board of Directors consists of volunteers who are association members. The Board is INMA’s fiduciary body. - Regional Boards and Committees
The Board creates regional boards, committees, and task forces as it deems necessary to oversee the association’s work. - Staff
INMA employs a professional staff headed by a Board-appointed chief executive officer.
10. Terms and Conditions
This Membership Terms and Conditions document explains the parameters of membership. By applying to become an INMA member, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
B. Duration and Benefits
Membership in the International News Media Association (INMA) is:
- One (1) year in duration from the commencement date of the membership.
- You will be invoiced via e-mail at least two months prior to the membership’s expiration.
- Benefits include total access to INMA content, reports, publications, and discounted services for the duration of the membership.
- Benefits are determined by the Board of Directors and may change from time to time.
C. Membership Definitions
1. Corporate Membership
This membership is held by a company and can have many people tied to the membership based on the agreement with INMA. A Company Membership is typically for a single title or company. A Group Membership is typically for many titles and/or business units. Tailored Membership is also available. All people tied to the membership get all benefits of membership. Any company employee, regardless of whether they are on the company’s membership list, can receive discounted services.
2. Individual Membership
This membership is held by one individual. Only the person tied to the membership receives benefits of membership. These benefits cannot be transferred.

For Individual Membership you may follow the instructions online at www.INMA.org/join or complete the membership application at www.inma.org/modules/join/INMA_MembershipApplication.pdf. - When Membership Takes Effect
When joining as an Individual Member, a contract is made between you and INMA when your membership registration has been completed, payment has been received in full, and a membership confirmation e-mail has been sent to you. Your INMA membership application will be processed immediately if you are applying online for Individual Membership and paying with a valid credit card. If you are paying by check or wire transfer, your Individual Membership is generally processed within 2 business days following receipt of payment in full.
3. Corporate Membership

For Corporate Membership you may complete the PDF found at www.inma.org/modules/join/INMA_MembershipApplication.pdf. (Note: Special conditions and rates may apply.) Follow the instructions on where to send the completed form and make payment. Details of these options can be found on the relevant application forms. - When Membership Takes Effect
When joining as a Corporate Member, a contract is made between you and INMA when your membership registration has been completed, payment has been received in full, and a membership confirmation email has been sent to you. For INMA Corporate Membership, your application will be processed within one (2) business days of receipt of a valid credit card. If you are paying by check or wire transfer, your corporate INMA membership will be processed within 2 business days following receipt of payment in full. Corporate Membership information and Web site login credentials are sent to individuals within your corporate membership. Each individual that you have signed up for INMA membership will be sent personal credentials to use online. Depending on when we receive your updated membership list, INMA staff will work as quickly as possible to ensure that your team has credentials.
4. Errors
If you become aware of any errors on your membership application form after submitting it to INMA, please contact INMA Membership at membership@inma.org.
E. Membership Renewals
1. Individual Members
If you are already a member and wish to renew your membership, please log onto www.INMA.org and follow the instructions to renew your INMA individual membership. Do not complete the membership application form above as this could result in the creation of a duplicate membership record.
2. Corporate Members
If you are an INMA Corporate Member you will be sent an INMA corporate dues invoice approximately 60-days prior to your expiration date. Membership dues for corporate members are due the last day of the month in which the membership expires.
F. Lapsed Memberships
If your membership has lapsed for a period of six (6) months or more, you will be required to re-join INMA. To reactivate your lapsed membership, please contact the INMA membership team if you have questions about rejoining INMA at membership@inma.org.
G. How to Pay
1. Accepted Forms of Payment
Payment for all membership applications may be made in the following ways:
- Credit card.
- Check in U.S. dollars drawn on a U.S. bank made payable to “INMA” and sent by post.
- Direct bank transfer to the INMA bank account, details of which may be found below.
2. Where to Send Checks
Mail check to: International News Media Association, P.O. Box 740186, Dallas, TX 75374, USA.
3. Communicating a Bank Transfer
You are advised to notify the INMA membership team in advance if you wish to pay for your membership by direct bank transfer to ensure the swift processing of your application. Your membership application or renewal will not be processed until full payment is received.
4. Paying Online
If you are joining INMA as an Individual Member by online application, you can only pay with a valid credit card. INMA handles online credit card transactions in a secure environment. We accept American Express, Visa, and MasterCard.

H. Cancellation of Membership
1. How to Cancel
You have 14 working days from the date of confirmation of your new membership to cancel your membership. For online applications for individual members, this will be the day on which you are notified by e-mail message that your membership registration has been completed. For other methods of application, this will mean 14 working days from the date that you receive any e-mail message confirming your new membership. You may notify us of your wish to cancel your new membership by emailing INMA Membership at membership@inma.org.
2. Terms of Cancellation
If you wish to exercise your right to cancel your membership within this time frame, INMA will refund the full cost. If payment was originally made by credit card, any refund will be made back to the same card. If payment for the order was made by another method, such as check or bank transfer, a refund will be made by the same method or by crediting your INMA account.
3. Cancellation Rights
The above cancellation rights only apply to new membership applications and will not apply to renewals of existing memberships.
I. Notices
1. In Writing
A notice given to INMA under or in connection with these terms and conditions shall be in writing and sent to INMA at the mailing address or by contacting membership@inma.org
2. Legal Action or Arbitration
This clause does not apply to the service of any proceedings or other documents in any legal action or, where applicable, any arbitration or other method of dispute resolution.

K. Bank Details
